Prototype and Low-Volume Production Processes
Armstrong RM specializes in the production of metal and plastic parts in prototype and low-volume production quantities. Our operations are designed to deliver individual parts and complete assemblies...rapidly.
Assistance: Selection & Design for Manufacturability
With so many manufacturing processes available, it is difficult to have a thorough knowledge of each, and even more challenging to understand each technique's design for manufacturing constraints. We help you to find the best process with our extensive background and knowledge in manufacturing. And, we go one step further. Armstrong RM can relieve you of the effort to modify or redesign your parts for the selected process. So, you don't have to spend time accounting for shrink, draft or "as-cast" design modifications.
Each of our processes has been proven to be excellent "bridge to production" solution. So, if you use Armstrong for your prototypes and then find that production tooling will be late, we can quickly deliver large quantities to production specifications.
Molding, Casting and Machining Processes
Metal Castings and CNC Machined Prototypes and Tooling:
- Rubber Plaster Molding (RPM)
Also known as Plaster Mold Casting (RPM)
(An excellent choice for prototype die castings) - One-Shot Casting
- Precision Airset Sand Casting
- CNC Machining & Hogouts
To offer a single source for your complete assemblies and subassemblies, Armstrong RM also provides extrusions, sheet metal stamping and other services through our valued subcontractors.
Plastic Casting, Molding and CNC Machining:
Complementary Prototype and Production Services:
- CAD Design and File Generation
- Rapid Prototyping
- Assembly
- Painting and Finishing
- Form-in-place gasketing
